The girls finally get to steal and run fast around the bases. Look Out:) Sydney took home the gameball with 1 hit and 1 run, and is leading this team with great communication and leadership. Hannah, Julianna, and Rilee kept us close with great pitching. Everyone had a great game overall and are ready to play again on Saturday.
Win Thurs 5/22/08 Rockford 705 11-7 Emily Thompson
A hard fought win against a tough Rockford team. Emily took home the game ball for great patience at the plate with 1 hit , a walk, a run , and 1RBI. Julianna & Bailey teamed up to pitch a great game with some timely hitting. Margaret added a hit with 2 runs batted in. Sydney had 2 hits with 1 run. Rilee added 2 more hits and 1 RBI. Madelyn walked twice while adding 1 run and an RBI. Hannah scored once with a walk and a hit. Marissa and Marcela both knocked in 2 runs each with 1 hit and a run. Sophia scored two times on 2 walks.
Loss Sat. 5/17/08 Northfield Lanes 9-11 Madelyn St. Pierre

A beautiful day to play ball but we lost another close one. Madelyn took home the game ball playing heads up ball in the outfield and reaching base twice on 2 walks and driving in 1 run. Emily, Marissa, and Margaret also showed great hustle and playing fantastic defense. Sydney was watching the ball well, walking three times and driving in 2 runs. Sophia caught a great game, collecting 2 hits and pounding in three RBI. Bailey scored twice with one hit and an RBI. Julianna was slamming the ball all over the field with two big hits, driving in one and scoring 2 more. Marcela scored once with 2 awesome hustle hits. Hannah pitched 2 innings, striking out 5 batters, added 3 runs and three hits!! Rilee also pitched 2 innings making 5 batters strike out as well. She also added one run with one hit and a walk. Keep up the fantastic hustle ladies and have fun!!!

Loss Thurs 5/15/08 Rockford CU 12-13 Julianna Todd

A close slugfest on a cool spring night. The girls showed a lot of hustle and had fun doing it. Julianna took the game ball with a superior day at the plate, collecting three hits, and batted in 3 runs, scoring one. Bailey pitched her first game of the year and did great, adding a hit, a run, and a RBI. Marissa pitched awesome for 2 innings, scored twice with one hit and one run. Marcela scored once with one hit. Sophia was solid behind the plate again, walked twice, scoring one run and driving in one. Emily had a great eye today reaching base 3 times on three walks, while driving in 2 runs and scoring one. Margaret also was watching the ball great with three walks, 2 runs, and three runs batted in. Madelyn played great defense at third, scored three times with 2 walks, a run, and a RBI. We are really coming together as a team ladies, keep up the great work!!!!!

Our first home game was a good learning loss. All our girls are learning more every game we paly. Marissa and Rilee pitched 2 innings each and each stuck out 3 batters. Bailey walked 3 times, scored 1, and drove in 1 run. Margaret had a hit, a walk, and 1 RBI. Rilee had 1 hit with 1 walk. Hannah played great defense and added a walk, a hit, and 1 run. Marcela had a hit with 2 runs batted in. Sophia, Emily, and Sydney played great defense and added awesome hustle. Keep up the great work ladies!!!!!!!
Win Sat May 5th Wolverine World Wide 7-6 Hannah Maskell

A great battle for our first win of the season. Everyone played great showing hustle and had fun doing it. Hannah had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and pitched one scoreless inning. Rilee added 1 hit and 2 runs, making a great catch at 1st base. Julianna pitched great for 2 innings, scored once, with 1 RBI. Bailey played superb defense with 1 hit, 1 run, and 1 RBI. Sophia was a rock behind the plate with some awesome defensive stops, with 1 hit and 2 runs batted in. Marissa and Madelyn had 1 RBI each. Sydney scored once, batted in 1 run, with 1 hit. Keep up that hustle ladies!!!!!
Loss Thurs May 3rd Summit Tree Services 1-3 Rilee Litzan

A pitchers duel to start out the season, in taking a 1-3 loss. Rilee Litzan and Hannah Maskell each pitched 2 innings with 4 strikeouts each. Rilee and Bailey Brummel added two hits each with Rilee scoring our lone run. Hannah, Julianna Todd, and Marcela Castillo accounted for our other hits, with Marcela batting one run.
